Help: X29 !!

Hello All ..

I'm wondering if anyone can help.

I have RedHat 6.1 (kernel 2.2.12). I installed the kernel patch
(dnk2214) .. and the DECnet utilities .. everything is working
perfectly except one thing:

I sethost to a local VAX on our network .. which is connected through
X.25 to a remote VAX. I issue the regular SET HOST /X29 <NUMBER> to
connect to the remote VAX. I get connected .. the USERNAME prompt
appears fine .. but not the PASSWORD prompt! .. whatever I enter I keep
getting the USERNAME prompt again and again .. !

Can anyone help.

Note: I connected a VT420 terminal to the serial port in my linux ..
tried through the terminal .. I got the same result.
