It's also worth knowing that there are some VMS dependancies in the userland 
utilities - You can join Paul and myself in trying to remove them!

So, even when you get the kernel sorted out it's not all plain sailing I'm
afraid.

My main excuse for this is that the specs available don't document all the features I wanted to VMS communication and also that I can only test against 
what I have.

My two main excuses are documentation, testing and a certain amount of necessary
reverse engineering,

My three main excuses are...well, you get the idea!
