X-Windows. The Linux box has 224MB of RAM, is a single user box, and

I wouldn't think network traffic is a problem. It's on my home network, at
the time of the test the only systems on the network were a DEC3000/300LX
(OpenVMS), AlphaStation 200 4/233 (OpenBSD), PDP-11/73 (RSX-11M), PII
(Linux), and G4 (Mac OS). So even when there isn't anything going on I've
got DECnet, AppleTalk/Ethertalk, and Samba chatter going around but nothing
heavy. BTW, did I mention that the Linux box also speaks Appletalk via
Netatalk and Samba?
OTOH, Paul Koning probably is right about CTERM being the reason I can't
get the two to log into each other. I'm currently trying to figure out
what network terminal protocol RSX-11M is using, unfortunatly the set of
PDP-11 DECnet doc's I've got access to right now is for RSTS/E.
