Asynchronous DECnet via modem

My name is Alen Sajko, and I am an aeronautical meteorological forecaster in Zagreb, Croatia. I was in contact with Steve Whitehouse because I use an asynchronous DECnet (via modem) run under DOS PC to be connected with VAX (VMS V5.4) and I would like to change this DOS machine with a Linux machine. He said to me that it needs DDCMP to be implemented, and that you have started looking into this. So, would you be so kind and answer me what you think about it? Do you think it will be possible to connect my new Linux machine with VAX?

I have another question. Do you think is there any possibility to run that asynchronous DECnet under DOSemu - DOS emulator for Linux?
