I have a behavioural problem when connecting from an RSX-11-Mplus
to my Linux box.
I do not see this problem when connectng from a Unix (dnilogin) session.

The following is a description of he connection attempt.

>set hos declnx =CTERM Version 1.0.3
                 DECnet for Linux
(and there is no login prompt)
 press <enter> = Login:
press e (for 'ed') = login incorrect
                  Login:
press e again = Login:e
press d = Login:ee
press d = Login:eed
press <enter> = Login:eedd
press <enter> = password:

as I can see every key produces the prior key's result, this made
it not possible to login. However I 'set hos' from the same machine
to Unix, and then from the Unix machine 'dnilogin 1.160' produced
a normal successful login to Linux box.
